Healthcare Strategic Account Manager (Full Time) - St-Laurent QC
Primary Purpose
The Strategic Account Manager serves as the primary liaison for institutional healthcare contracts in Quebec. The role involves establishing and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with government managers to ensure effective contract oversight and an optimal partnership.
The incumbent is responsible for the end-to-end management of all Requests for Proposals (RFPs) including monitoring for new opportunities analyzing requirements coordinating internal stakeholders preparing and submitting proposals and managing all post-submission follow-up. They ensure that each submission is compliant competitive and aligned with the organizations strategic and financial objectives.
In addition the Strategic Account Manager leads the development negotiation and renewal of complex agreements while engaging internal stakeholders to deliver high quality service maximize contract performance and support the organizations revenue growth and customer retention goals.
Key Accountabilities
Contract Strategy and Management
- Serve as the primary liaison for government healthcare contracts in Quebec.
- Lead the full contract lifecycle: RFP monitoring proposal preparation negotiations execution renewals and extensions.
- Advise leadership on contract strategy risk mitigation and operational requirements.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations service level requirements deadlines and regulatory standards
- Prepare and present monthly/quarterly/annual performance analysis to both internal and external stakeholders (as required per contract).
Cross- Functional Coordination
- Coordinate internal teams (operations purchasing distribution) to support contract execution.
- Support training and onboarding of new employees.
- Assist distribution teams with institutional inventory management and reporting
Financial Performance
- Drive the financial performance of awarded contracts including revenue and margins.
- Support pricing strategy and negotiations through financial competitive and cost benefit analyses.
- Monitor billing accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards and provide feedback to department managers as required.
- Identify revenue optimization and loss reduction opportunities.
- Monitor key indicators: profitability renewal value year over year growth.
Compliance and Safety
- Respond promptly to contract related inquiries including product recalls pricing requests and new initiatives.
- Perform all duties in adherence to company safety standards and internal policies.
Required Qualifications
Education
- College diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
- 35 years of high-level client relations contract management or account management experience
- Experience in home and institutional respiratory services (home oxygen sleep therapy respiratory equipment)
- Strong professional selling skills with demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of contract management government procurement and healthcare systems.
- Demonstrated consultative selling and relationship building capabilities.
- Proactive ability to identify and pursue business opportunities.
- Strong communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid financial acumen (budgeting forecasting billing accuracy performance analysis) preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate cross functional initiatives.
Ability to translate complex contract and policy requirements into clear actionable recommendations.
