• The Registered Clinical Nurse (RN) is fundamental in achieving recognized world-class health care
• Assumes direct and indirect responsibility for the patients care environment
• The primary responsibility is providing care through collaboration with health care team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process
• Also provides leadership mentoring and role modeling for other members of the health care team
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to coordination and delegation of care in a safe secure and clean environment
• Care provided displays respect for the patients rights dignity values confidentiality and expressed needs
• Adaptable using evidenced based practice and information technologies while maintaining focus on providing comfort relieving pain and alleviating anxiety.

Supervises:

• Nurse Extern Graduate/Licensed Practical Nurse Nursing Technician/Specialty Technician Unit Secretary Patient Care Assistant

Required Education:

• Associates in Nursing
• Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing

Required Experience:

• No previous experience required
• Preferred: 2-5 years experience as RN

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Current license to practice as an RN in Florida
• Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) certification from an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association (AHA) and/or other specialized life support requirements designated by work area
