About us
DHA wasestablishedin 1988 following passage of the Defence Housing Australia Act 1987 (DHA Act) to provide adequate and suitable housing for and housing related services to members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and their families. Weremaincommitted to our purpose of providing housing and housing related services to ADF members and their families to support Defences operational needs.
DHA manages an expanding portfolio of housing solutions and provides housing for over 17200 ADF members and their families and administers rent allowance for more than 16000 ADF members and their families in private rental accommodation. DHA provides housing related services advising on eligibility providing posting support and managing bookings and allocation services for all DHA provisioned housing and on-base accommodation to approximately 60000 ADF members.

About your team
The Property Group ensures DHAmaintainsthe right mix of properties to meet Defence requirements through leasing acquisition and development.
The Development and Construction team delivers residential projects across Australia overseeing all phases from planning to completion. The team is committed to compliance safety and stakeholder engagement with a particular focus on projects in environmentally and culturally sensitive locations. Our mission is to provide high-quality compliant housing solutions for Defence personnel and their families.
About the role
The Senior Development Manageris responsible forplanning and leading complex residential development projects to achieve DHA businessobjectiveson time and within budget. This includes the delivery of greenfield and brownfield residential developments management of rezoning and approval processesevaluationand mitigation of project risks and influencing outcomes to ensure alignment with DHAs strategic goals.
The role requires strong leadership across multidisciplinary project teams and external consultants effective stakeholder engagement and sound commercial judgement to deliverviabledevelopment outcomes across the full project lifecycle.
