Warehouse Assistant

The role is based in Midrand South Africa with operational activities supporting Johannesburg South Africa (on-site full-time). You will join a detail-oriented reliable and solution-focused operations team where accuracy collaboration and continuous improvement are key. Your contribution helps ensure uninterrupted material flow and inventory integrity across the site.

Where Youll Make a Difference

• Execute receiving putaway picking packing loading and dispatch activities in line with site procedures
• Check inbound and outbound shipments to confirm physical goods match documentation and system records
• Maintain inventory accuracy by identifying variances investigating causes and following through on corrective actions
• Record warehouse transactions in SAP and scanning tools according to internal inventory movement processes
• Communicate inventory issues promptly and coordinate resolution with relevant departments
• Prepare routine operational documentation and reports related to warehousing and logistics activities
• Consolidate operational data (e.g. costs consumption and activity information) for tracking and reporting purposes
• Participate in cycle counts and annual stocktake activities to ensure stock integrity
• Follow site requirements linked to external operational audits (SEDEX URSA ISO 14001 NSF LAS FSSC) and apply them in daytoday work

What Makes You the Right Fit

• Completed secondary education (matric); a diploma in logistics warehousing or a related field is an advantage
• Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse receiving and dispatch operations
• Working knowledge of SAP or a comparable enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
• Able to work in a fastpaced environment with limited supervision while maintaining accuracy
• Clear verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word
• Practical problemsolving skills and a consistent approach to following procedures

• Experience using barcode scanning systems and structured inventory movement controls
• Exposure to regulated or audited operational environments
• Ability to spot recurring variance patterns and suggest practical process improvements
