Warehouse Operator

Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and efficient Warehouse Operator to join our team in Johannesburg South Africa. As a Warehouse Operator you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely flow of goods in and out of our warehouse facility. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to the success of our operations. Key Responsibilities: - Receive store and distribute incoming goods according to established procedures - Prepare and pack orders for shipment ensuring accuracy and timeliness - Operate forklifts and other equipment to move and stack materials - Maintain inventory accuracy by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies - Keep the warehouse clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment - Adhere to all safety and security protocols to prevent damage loss or theft of goods - Collaborate with other team members to ensure the smooth running of warehouse operations - Communicate any issues or concerns to the Warehouse Manager in a timely manner - Assist with loading and unloading of trucks as needed Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred - Valid forklift license and experience operating forklifts - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment - Good communication and teamwork skills - Basic computer skills - Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time Contract Details: This is a full-time permanent position based in Johannesburg South Africa. The standard working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. However flexibility may be required to meet the demands of the business.
