Basic Job Functions:
The HR Manager is responsible for developing and implementing best practices as well as establishing plans for continuous improvement within the department and division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the HR department including but not limited to employment recruitment and selection legal compliance policy administration payroll and benefits administration corporate and government reporting training administration and overall HR support.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in HR Management Business or related field or equivalent years of HR experience
- Minimum of 4 years of HR related work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Payroll and human resources experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior leadership experience.
- Experience in working with SAP.
- Basic knowledge of fundamental federal and state employment laws.
- Training and presentation experience.
- Willingness to relocate now and in the future.
