Job Summary
Summary of Position
The Continuous Improvement Engineer is responsible for identifying developing and implementing process improvements that enhance operational efficiency product quality and cost performance. This role uses data analysis and structured methodologies to drive sustainable improvements across the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and execute continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma
Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies bottlenecks and waste
Facilitate root cause analysis using tools such as Fishbone diagrams and 5 Whys
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Drive projects to improve KPIs such as cycle time yield scrap and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production quality maintenance supply chain)
Standardize processes and ensure documentation is updated (SOPs work instructions)
Train employees on continuous improvement tools and methodologies
Support audits and compliance initiatives
Monitor and report on improvement project results
Qualifications :
Skills
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and continuous improvement principles
Experience with data analysis and problemsolving tools
Proficiency with Excel and/or data visualization tools
Process mapping experience (e.g. Value Stream Mapping)
Change management skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to influence and lead without direct authority

Education and/or Experience
Required
Bachelors degree in engineering (Industrial Mechanical Manufacturing or related field)
25 years of experience in manufacturing or process improvement roles
Preferred Qualifications
Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt)
Experience with ERP or MES
Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
Project management experience
