How will I help

As Executive Director Banks & Diversified Financials you will play a pivotal leadership role within Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) leading the client strategy and coverage of a complex portfolio including global banks ADIs nonbank lenders payment service providers digital asset services custodians financial market infrastructure central banks sovereigns and supranational agencies.

Reporting to the Managing Director Financial Institutions & Government (FI&G) you will own sustainable and profitable growth across the portfolio positioning Westpac Institutional Bank as a core partner across funding capital markets transaction banking and risk management solutions. You will lead origination and execution of complex financing and hedging solutions while holding accountability for credit and nonfinancial risk outcomes.

A key part of the role is building and leading a highperforming multidisciplinary coverage teamdeveloping capability strengthening succession and fostering a culture of disciplined execution accountability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

Owning client strategy and total relationship outcomes across Banks & Diversified Financials
Acting as the lead market face and senior relationship owner across the portfolio
Leading origination execution and distribution of funding capital markets and structured finance solutions
Driving growth in FX interest rate and derivatives revenues through embedded risk management solutions
Holding accountability for credit and nonfinancial risk aligned to risk appetite and portfolio discipline
Partnering closely with product risk and offshore teams to deliver integrated client solutions
Building leading and developing a highperforming executivelevel coverage team
Strengthening funding markets structured finance and emerging business model capability

Youll bring deep experience across financial institutions coverage funding markets and risk management with a strong track record of originating and executing complex solutions in highly regulated environments. Youll be a credible executive leader able to balance growth risk and capital outcomes while influencing at the most senior levels.

Key experience and capabilities include:

Extensive experience across banks and nonbank financial institutions both buyside and sellside
Deep understanding of funding models securitisation and wholesale funding markets
Proven ability to originate structure and distribute complex financing and risk solutions
Strong technical capability across FX interest rate and derivatives markets
Demonstrated experience managing credit and nonfinancial risk portfolios
Wellestablished senior network across banks institutional clients and government entities
Proven success leading developing and sustaining highperforming executive teams
Strong commercial judgement and executivelevel stakeholder engagement
Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred
