A little about the Early Intervention Department

The Early Intervention (EI)Department offers early intervention/childrens mental health programs designedto reduce risk and to enhance the development for substance-exposed children(prenatal 6 years) by providing services which address maternal addictionproblems and related issues and the mother-child relationship through communitybased cross-systemic partnerships. The EI department conducts evaluation andresearch focused on issues relevant to the early intervention programs whichinclude: Breaking the Cycle (BTC) Parent-Infant Program and Connections.

Job summary

Asour newest Bilingual Project Coordinator you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating the delivery of all activities of the Circles for Protection and Connection/Cerceles de Protection et de Connexioninitiative.

Reporting to the Director of Child & Family Services youll work alongside a team of dedicated staff and community partners training and delivering the Circle of Security Parenting group and the Connections interpersonal violence group across Ontario (English and French). As a Bilingual Project Coordinator you will...

  • Oversee and coordinate the delivery of all activities of the Circles for Protection and Connection/Cercles de Protection et de Connexionproject
  • Coordinate program planning and implementation including assessing needs setting goals and objectives
  • Promote the foundational training about trauma-informed practices to community-based programs across Ontario
  • Support the development of eligibility criteria for potential partner organizations
  • Manage and coordinate the logistics of intervention training delivery for facilitators from partner organizations (including registration and coordination of sites coordination of technical supports)
  • Prepare reports for Mothercraft for PHAC and for other stakeholders
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements including travel of facilitator trainees researchers etc.
  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the Director and other staff
  • Coordinate and attend meetings establish and maintain internal and external contacts as necessary
  • Liaise with the Research Coordinator Indigenous graduate student Research Advisor project contractors project participants funders and external stakeholders


You will be set up for success if you have...

  • University education in social work psychology social sciences addictions nursing or other relevant discipline
  • Diploma/Certificate in Project Planning
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field (i.e. community based projects in a not-for-profit)
  • Minimum 2 years of office experience including or supplemented by project planning and implementation experience
  • Bilingual in English and French is required
  • Knowledge of project planning methodologies
  • Excellent computer and database/spreadsheet/word processing software
  • Experience working with diverse groups and knowledge of the child and family violence sector
  • Satisfactory vulnerable sector police reference check
