Business Development Manager
Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving new business opportunities within an assigned territory to achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets. This role focuses on identifying and engaging prospective clients developing tailored proposals and ensuring a smooth transition of new accounts to the Account Management team in addition to services for the business lines of Sulphur experts (Sulphur Amine and Dehydration). The Business Development Manager collaborates with internal sales
support groups to generate leads maintain accurate forecasts and report on market trends. This position represents the company at industry events to build brand awareness and may participate in special projects as assigned. Applying the sales process the Manager will generate revenue for SGS MPR Services and will liaise between customers Operations team and lab operations to meet customer needs.
- Accountable for meeting/exceeding quarterly and annual targets within assigned territory.
- Prepare individual sales plans with goals/objectives: Identify research plan and contact new
- Coordinate transfer of landed account ownership to assigned Account Manager
- Provide accurate forecasts and pipelines on a regular basis.
- Report on developments in the marketplace analyze market trends and competitor activities (market intelligence).
- Work with sales support groups (Marketing Sales Development Sales Operations) to support initiatives and lead generation.
- Ensure client quotes service agreements proposals and responses to RFPs/tenders are completed within deadlines collaborating with appropriate stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports of sales activities (e.g. client visits/calls) using CRM systems.
- Represent the company at trade shows and conferences when approved to build brand awareness and broaden the client base.
- May be assigned special or related ad hoc projects from time to time.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field; Chemistry Biology Environmental science (Required)
- 1 year in technical sales project management or customer service experience (Required)
- 3 years experience in the Environmental Industry (Preferred)

- Knowledge of the business line services
- Business acumen.
- Ability to demonstrate customer centric selling techniques.
- Strong presentation skills
- Must be a self-motivator and self-starter.
- Creative innovative and client focused
- Demonstrate diplomacy and networking skills
- Must be able to read understand and follow work instructions in a safe accurate and timely manner.
- Candidates must be proficient in using various types of computer software (Word Excel. PowerPoint & Outlook) including sales tracking tools (i.e. CRM).
- Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced highly professional environment.
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar and composition.
- Ability to work well with others & independently.
- Proven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Works well under pressure.
- Ensures full compliance with the companys Health & Safety Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct policies.

- Proficient user of Office 365
