Primary Purpose:
Coordinate and support implementation of the districts Grow Your Own educator pipeline including Teach Denton programming university partnerships clinical teaching student observations and targeted recruitment initiatives. Serve as a key partner to Human Resources in developing and sustaining a high-quality educator workforce by aligning pipeline development and recruitment efforts to district staffing priorities including high-need certification areas.
Qualifications:
Education and Certification
- Masters degree in education school leadership human resources or related field
- Valid Texas educator certification; administrator certification (preferred)
Experience
- Five (5) years of successful teaching experience
- Three (3) years of successful campus-level administration (preferred)
- Experience in educator recruitment program coordination and partnership development (preferred)
Knowledge and Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of educator pipelines clinical teaching models and workforce development practices
- Proficient recruitment public relations and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform recruitment strategies and workforce planning
- Proficient project management organizational and systems design skills
- Ability to build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills including public speaking and presentation
- Demonstrates professionalism ethical conduct and alignment with district mission and goals
Key Responsibilities:
Educator Pipeline Development & Teach Denton Program
- Coordinate the design implementation expansion and continuous improvement of the Teach Denton Grow Your Own educator pipeline from elementary through postsecondary completion and employment.
- Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive pipeline strategy that increases student awareness participation persistence certification attainment and hiring into the district.
- Coordinate and support campus-based Teach Denton Ambassadors ensuring consistency of program implementation across all participating campuses.
- Design and deliver professional learning training and support for program participants mentors and campus staff engaged in pipeline initiatives.
- Engage directly with students through campus visits clubs academies and internship experiences to build interest in the teaching profession and strengthen long-term pipeline continuity.
- Promote Teach Denton through presentations events and partnerships at the local regional and state levels to expand program visibility and participation.
University Partnerships & Field Experiences
- Serve as the district point of contact for educator field experiences including clinical teachers and student observers ensuring alignment with district expectations and campus needs.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with colleges and universities to align placement capacity certification pathways and district hiring priorities.
- Coordinate all aspects of placement processes including campus assignments onboarding requirements background checks and communication between campuses and higher education partners.
- Establish clear systems processes and timelines to ensure efficient placement monitoring and support of all candidates participating in field experiences.
- Develop and maintain tracking systems to monitor candidates from initial placement through program completion and potential employment with the district.
- Provide guidance training and ongoing support to campus administrators and cooperating teachers to ensure high-quality mentoring and successful field experiences.
- Collaborate with Human Resources leadership to align field experiences with residency programs and long-term workforce pipeline strategies.
Recruitment & Workforce Pipeline Alignment
- Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies aligned to district staffing needs with emphasis on high-need certification areas.
- Recruit prospective educators through university job fairs district-hosted events and targeted outreach efforts to pipeline participants alumni and district graduates.
- Represent the district at regional and statewide recruitment initiatives to strengthen candidate pipelines and enhance district visibility.
- Plan coordinate and lead districtwide job fairs and recruitment events ensuring alignment with hiring timelines and staffing priorities.
- Collaborate with Human Resources leadership to align recruitment efforts with projected staffing demands and workforce planning strategies.
- Support onboarding and transition of pipeline participants clinical teachers and new hires into district employment to improve hiring outcomes and retention.
Stakeholder Engagement & Community Partnerships
- Serve as a liaison to students families community partners and external organizations supporting educator pipeline initiatives.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations nonprofit partners and local stakeholders to expand pipeline opportunities and support program sustainability.
- Communicate program opportunities expectations outcomes and impact to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate across departments including Human Resources and curriculum teams to support district initiatives related to staffing retention and workforce development.
Program Management Data Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Develop implement and maintain systems to track pipeline participants from initial engagement through certification and employment.
- Monitor and analyze recruitment and pipeline data to evaluate program effectiveness identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.
- Use data to improve pipeline-to-hire conversion rates and strengthen alignment between pipeline development and staffing outcomes.
- Support grant implementation compliance and reporting related to educator pipeline initiatives.
- Participate in district regional and state committees related to educator preparation and workforce development.
- Engage in continuous improvement strategic planning and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen overall program effectiveness.
