HSE Engineer II
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the maintenance of laboratory safaty programspolicies and procedures.
- Ensure saft handing storageuse and disposal of chemicals and any hazardous or nonhazardous material according to Company police and local regulatory requirments.
- Develop and deliver laboratory safety training programs.
- Complete the HSE related communications.
- Lead investigation of lab incidents near misses and unsafe conditions.
- Implement the contractor management safety
- Conduct routine HSE related work including waste management environmental monitoring and industrial hygiene monitoring etc.
- Maintain laboratory emergency response plans and coordinate emergency drills.
- Plan and conduct laboratory safety inspections and internal audits.
- Collaborate with R&D QA Facilities and external service providers.
- Serve as the laboratory safety subject matter expert for audits and inspections.
- Cooperate with other team work.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelors or relevant degree or above in Engineer associated Environmental Health & Safety or related field.
- Professional safety certifications are an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory hazards HSE management and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with Chinese HSE regulations and ISO standards (ISO 45001 ISO 14001).
- Strong communication leadership and influencing skills.
Experience
- 15 years of experience in laboratory safety EHS or HSE roles.
- Experience in R&D electronics engineering or life sciences Safety & Environments preferred.
- Experience in multinational or regulated environments is an advantage.
