Kids Coordinator Mount Pleasant

The Mount Pleasant Kids Coordinator joins the Mount Pleasant Childrens Pastor and the Tenth Kids team in creating a joyful worshipful and engaging environment where children (birth to age 12) can learn grow and thrive in faith. This role partners with parents and caregivers in raising lifelong followers of Christ and equips leaders and teachers to help shape meaningful Christ-centered experiences for every child.
Ways You Will Contribute:
MP Kids Ministry:
- Onboard train and equip leaders and helpers for Kids Ministry
- Support integration of curriculum for MP Kids Services
- Prepare and support weekly MP Kids services (setup execution and leadership as required)
- Identify and invite potential leaders from the site to serve in Kids Ministry
- Communicate weekly curriculum and ensure leaders are prepared to teach
- Lead weekly services for nursery toddler preschool or older kids as required
- Coordinate weekly service roles schedules and lesson delivery
- Ensure health safety and risk management standards are implemented and maintained
- Provide ongoing check-ins encouragement and support for volunteers and identify opportunities for growth on Sundays in-person or online
- Connect with parents on Sundays and throughout the week
- Participate in Tenth MP events to connect with children families and caregivers
Other:
- Participate in MP team meetings TK team meetings staff meetings (minimum monthly) training and retreats as required
What You Bring:
- Relevant Bachelors degree preferred (i.e. Family Ministries Education Theology)
- Diploma of Christian Studies or theological education
- Early Childhood Education an asset
- Strong computer skills (MS 365); Planning Centre Online an asset
- Possess an authentic growing faith in Christ
- Spiritual maturity and evidence of ongoing personal spiritual formation
- Heart for working with children families and leaders from varied social economic ethnic and spiritual backgrounds
- Ability to work responsibly and carry out duties with minimum supervision
- Ability to articulate sound theology and philosophy of ministry
- Relational and outgoing with a passion for connecting with people
- Ability to translate vision and strategy into action
- Committed to attending Tenth Church if hired
This is a part-time position where you will work 14 hours per week.
The salary for this position is $16000 per annum.
