Job Duties

The RBT Coach ensures appropriate behavioral interventions are in place and supports client progress through collaboration documentation and direct service delivery. Under supervision of the BCBA this role will act as a lead RBT providing additional support training and monitoring of RBTs to ensure program fidelity. The RBT Coach will support with ABA assessments (e.g. functional behavior preference and skill) and program development for patients referred for additional support.

Minimum Qualifications

Knowledge of characteristics of various emotional physical behavioral and developmental disabilities
Knowledge and skills in behavioral management principles and techniques
Knowledge and experience in developing behavior support plans
Knowledge and experience in providing therapeutic interventions to individuals with disabilities
Working knowledge of Windows-based computer software
Skills in observing patients for the purpose of collecting data
Skills in data entry including working knowledge of Excel and Word
Skills in working directly with people in an empathic manner
Ability to provide positive statements to individuals served.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to provide oral and written instructions.
Ability to implement basic behavioral principles.
Proficiency working with individuals with all levels of intellectual disability to include severe and profound and with individuals who have significant impairment related to symptoms of Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or developmental abilities.
Ability to mentor coach and support multidisciplinary team to implement behavioral strategies.
Ability to build rapport and helping relationships with Center staff and patients alike.

Additional Considerations

Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) certification.
Experience working in a residential and/or hospital setting providing behavioral therapy and/or treating the individual needs of patients with physical behavioral substance abuse emotional or developmental disabilities.
