Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Maintenance Staff to join our team in Pietermaritzburg South Africa. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks including repairs installations and general upkeep of our clients properties and equipment. The Maintenance Staff will work closely with our team to ensure that all maintenance requests are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Key Responsibilities: - Perform maintenance and repair tasks on properties and equipment including plumbing electrical HVAC and general repairs - Conduct routine inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues - Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and report any major issues to the management team - Install and maintain equipment and systems such as lighting heating and cooling systems - Respond to maintenance requests from clients and prioritize tasks based on urgency - Collaborate with the team to develop and implement preventative maintenance plans - Ensure that all maintenance work is completed according to safety and quality standards - Maintain a clean and organized work environment - Order and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks - Comply with all company policies and procedures. Qualifications and Skills: - High school diploma or equivalent - Proven experience in a maintenance role - Knowledge of plumbing electrical HVAC and general maintenance tasks - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings - Strong problem-solving and communication skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks - Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects - Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests.
