VACANCY: Hangar Assistant
REPORTING: Dispatch Supervisor
LOCATION: Durban North
Starlite Aviation Training Academy (Pty) Ltd has a requirement for a punctual reliable hardworking team player to fill this position in Durban within the Starlite Aviation Group.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cleaning and upkeep of hangar including sweeping and mopping floor.
- Cleaning helipads and surrounding areas.
- Cleaning of interior and exterior of aircraft according to our corrosion control programme.
- Moving and re-fueling of aircraft.
- Maintenance of garden/lawn.
- Report any damage fuel and oil leaks or any item or incident which could result in the aircraft being unserviceable for flight.
- Performing general ad-hoc duties as assigned including occasional driving/transport tasks when required.
CRITICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong Technical skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong on compliance.
- Strong focus on Safety and Quality.
- Report to duty on time and manage time keeping.
- Ability to lift and move reasonable loads.
- Valid Code 8 or 10 drivers license.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The following is essential for this position:
- Grade 12.
- Previous experience with aviation support (advantageous).
