Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in commercial finance and modern technology this role you will translate business requirements into scalable solution architectures guide development teams and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Architecture

• Translate business requirements into end-to-end solution architectures (process application data and technology)
• Produce and maintain architectural designs aligned with enterprise frameworks
• Ensure stakeholder alignment throughout the design process

Agile Delivery & Team Collaboration

• Work closely with product owners and scrum teams to deliver high-value features
• Provide architectural guidance during development cycles
• Ensure solutions align with defined architecture and quality standards

Leadership & Coaching

• Guide and support development teams and fellow architects
• Promote best practices and architectural standards
• Act as a thought leader on solution architecture and emerging technologies

Architecture Roadmap & Governance

• Contribute to and maintain architecture roadmaps and target state designs
• Manage and prioritize architecture backlogs
• Ensure compliance with modeling standards (e.g. ArchiMate)

Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Perform quality assurance on delivered solutions
• Monitor technology trends and recommend innovations
• Contribute to enterprise architecture improvements

Requirements

Experience & Education

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Solution Architect
• Degree in Computer Science or related technical field

Technical Skills

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP APIs
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure)
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React )
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Understanding of secure coding practices (e.g. OWASP)
• Experience with Business Process Management tools (e.g. PEGA)

Methodologies & Certifications

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• TOGAF and/or ArchiMate certification preferred
• Strong understanding of architecture frameworks and modeling standards

Domain Knowledge

• Solid understanding of financial services and business processes
• Experience in commercial finance (inventory finance is a plus)

Soft Skills

• Strong communication skills in English
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proactive collaborative and leadership-oriented mindset

Additional Requirements

• Must be based within commuting distance of Eindhoven
• Willingness to work on-site during onboarding period
