Role Description

The SACM Lead willbe responsible forcreating owning and continually improving SACM practices in alignment with ITIL principles and one of our clients IT andServiceManagement strategies. This includesmaintainingthe CMDB and Asset Register driving governance and ensuring configuration and asset data supports operational change and strategic decision-making.

The role will focus on aligning SACM with the wider organisations ITStrategy and supporting ongoing efforts to integrate Discovery andServiceMapping into configuration management

Candidates must have a strong track record of performing as SACM Lead ideally with a proven knowledge and understanding of how to align withITIL processes and best practice.

Process Management & Improvement:

  • Developingand maintaining SACM policies processes templates standards and documentation.
  • EmbeddingSACM requirements within other key service management and operational processes.
  • Creatingand evolving a prioritised SACM roadmap aligned to an organisations IT service management strategy.
  • Working with an IT Service Management toolset identifyand drive improvements in data quality integration automation and reporting.

CMDB & Asset Management:

  • Maintaininga healthyaccurate andpreciseCMDB and Asset Register within ServiceNow.
  • Definingdata quality standards for CIs and assets including completeness and timeliness.
  • Coordinatingautomated discovery outcomes with manual updates and reconciliation.
  • Supportinglifecycle tracking from procurement to decommissioning.
  • Align and promote the Common Services Data Model


Requirements

Person Specification:

This role would best suit an individual who has a proven track record in delivery in a similar role

Experience of working in a high-pressured environment

ITIL Foundation Certificate (minimum) or Service Operations Lifecycle module (preferable)

Experience of SLA reporting Key Performance Indicators Dashboard reporting and Trend Analysis

Supplier management experience

Experience in case management toolsets preferably ServiceNow

Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel

Proven experience in communicating with a variety of stakeholders at different levels

Strong Team working skills

Selfstarter and proactively selfmanaging consistently identifying opportunities for improvement and driving process enhancements without needing direction.

Strong inter-personal skills

Good communication and negotiation skills

Experience of building strong working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
