About the Role
The Executive Vice President General Manager will serve as the senior operational leader responsible for day-to-day execution across residential homebuilding subdivision development and multifamily construction. Reporting directly to the President & CEO this role ensures sales performance land development construction operations and financial results are tightly aligned and executed with discipline.
This position requires a hands-on operator who understands how sales growth land pipeline subdivision development construction capacity and margin performance must function together. The EVPGeneral Manager will translate strategic direction into operational results ensuring communities are delivered on time on budget and at target profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across single-family housing subdivisions and multifamily development projects.
- Align sales forecasts with land acquisition strategy horizontal development schedules and vertical construction capacity.
- Drive execution of subdivision development from land control through lot delivery and home completion.
- Ensure operational P&L performance cost control margin protection and production efficiency.
- Implement and manage KPIs tied to absorption rates cycle times gross margins and return on invested capital.
- Oversee entitlement permitting and horizontal infrastructure development processes.
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across land development construction sales and finance.
- Lead regional or community-level general managers and construction leaders.
- Manage production schedules to maintain predictable closings and revenue recognition.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks impacting delivery speed or profitability.
- Support the President in strategic growth initiatives and new market expansion.
- Strengthen operational systems reporting and accountability across divisions.
Qualifications
- 12 years of leadership experience in residential homebuilding subdivision development or multifamily construction.
- Proven success managing community-level or regional P&L within a production homebuilding environment.
- Direct experience overseeing land development horizontal infrastructure and subdivision execution.
- Strong understanding of sales absorption metrics and how they impact land pipeline and construction cadence.
- Experience managing large cross-functional construction and development teams.
- Deep knowledge of residential permitting entitlement and development timelines.
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting forecasting and margin management.
- Demonstrated ability to scale operations while maintaining quality and cost control.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience integrating modular or prefabricated construction within residential production.
- Background in investor-backed or growth-stage housing platforms.
- Multi-community or multi-region operational leadership experience.
