We are actively seeking an Incoming Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team located in Dedham MA.
*This role is on-site in Dedham MA. Local applicants only.*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs inspection of raw materials for conformance to specifications based on ANSI/ASQ 21 .4 using measuring & test equipment inspection procedures and engineering drawings.
- Ensures product and quantities received reflect purchasing and delivery documentation.
- Initiates nonconforming material reports for discrepant materials components or purchased product.
- Documents inspection data by completing inspection reports and filing hard and /or electronic copies in each respective Incoming Inspection file folder.
- Enters inspection results in into ERP system.
- Completes all required paperwork and tasks within established guidelines.
- Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- May train other employees.
- Supports continuous improvement and elimination of waste from processes and methods.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of High school diploma and 3 years experience in related position (5 preferred) or a sufficient combination of direct experience and certification/education.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office: 3 years.
- Proficient in the English language (speak read and write).
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of our products to effectively handle quality issues.
- Ability to prioritize and shift priorities quickly as need dictates.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition subtraction multiplication and division).
- Ability to read specifications procedures and engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with use of rulers tape measures calipers mechanical and electrical test equipment.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistently complying with federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with federal state and local standards including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative standards.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to maintain regular punctual attendance.
- Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion.
