Minimum Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma

Experience:

Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls (RSLogix)

Electrical Background (electrician or technician)

Related experience

Allen Bradley Panel View use/programming AB Servo and AB VFD drives

Familiarity with VFDs Armor starts encoders network/Ethernet controls

Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal teambuilding and communication skills



Responsibilities

Position Duties:

Use Vis Plant monitoring software to review cycle times of automation review and follow up automation projects and installations

Troubleshoot PLC robot and other automation problems supporting the day-to-day production issues when required.

Reprogram automation for engineering changes and improvements

Define design and maintain the plant controls strategy ensuring alignment with ME Group Staff.

Review approve and load all machine controls software to ensure availability of latest level.

Conduct Machine Acceptance for all new and retool equipment coming from New Programs CIB projects or maintenance actions

Review and approve technical drawings

Prepare projects to improve machine controls and issue PIRs and orders

Conduct technical review of recaps ensuring accomplishment of Ford Engineering Spec and local regulations

Review and approve new technologies materials and components (including obsolescence)

Provide technical support for energy efficency activities related to electrical circuits

Coordinate and support of vendor installations in plant



Qualifications

Preferred requirements:

Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering

Experience: 2 years of related experience

Strong problem solving skills including 8Ds FMEAs and DMAICs

Ability to independently troubleshoot all body equipment and continuously evaluate equipment for improvement for quality and delivery

Fanuc robot experience

Kawasaki programming RS Logics Microsoft office

PLC

Ability to read prints AutoCAD interpret and modify electrical schematics

Experienced in laser burning

Strong understanding of conveyors system programming and body tooling techniques in addition to networking understanding DH Ethernet remote IO

Ability to read blueprints

Simulation modeling exposure

Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience

Lean Tools 5S Kanban Poka-yoke and Value Stream Mapping

DMAIC and DMADV (DFSS) Project Methodology experience

TQM and Kaizen Methods

FMEA PPAP and DOEs experience

Visual Factory Management
