Job Summary

The Manager Global Inclusion APAC is a regional inclusion practitioner and investment-industry engagement partner who supports the design and execution of CFA Institutes multi-year Inclusion strategy across APAC. Working closely with the Global Senior Head Inclusion the role blends research and analytics program delivery and stakeholder engagementapplying an ethics- and behavior-aware lens to strengthen CFA Institutes inclusive culture and to advance inclusive practices across the investment industry (including where appropriate engagement with regulators and professional bodies).

The role also needs to:

  • integrate and elevate internal inclusion priorities into functional and regional workstreams while ensuring external-facing initiatives are grounded in CFA Institutes ways of working and culture goals;
  • support consultative engagement and change management efforts with APAC investment organizationshelping translate inclusion into governance talent and decision-making processes (e.g. bias-aware hiring promotion and investment processes) informed by ethics and behavioral finance concepts;
  • develop capability across staff CFA societies volunteers and partners by coordinating learning experiences toolkits and convenings; leverage these capabilities with institutions societies and members;
  • create monitor and advise on inclusion metrics and impact reporting (internal and where appropriate external program metrics) for senior management and key stakeholder groups.

The position will be located in APAC and will report to the Global Senior Head Inclusion

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Co-create APAC inclusion priorities with the Global Senior Head Inclusionlinking CFA Institutes internal culture objectives with external investment-industry engagement and program delivery.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with APAC investment firms institutional partners regulators professional associations CFA Societies and internal leaders to understand market needs identify opportunities and support implementation of inclusive structures and initiatives aligned to regional contexts. Additionally partner with regional leaders to establish regional goals resources and success measures.
  • Lead APAC inclusion analytics and insights work (including but not limited to survey design and roll-out data tracking and dashboard reporting) ensuring robust data management confidentiality and clear reporting to stakeholder groups. Use findings to identify trends gaps and opportunities and to inform continuous improvement.
  • In partnership with relevant internal partners recommend create and manage the scope and sequencing of inclusion learning and development for staff and where relevant external audiences (e.g. societies/partners). Track and monitor feedback to gauge effectiveness identify gaps and iterate. Where necessary facilitate learning and development opportunities.
  • Partner with Marketing Communications (MCX) and regional teams for regular updates and strategic messaging; act as a content consultant and quality-control partner for client-ready and member-facing inclusion materials.
  • Actively participate in the Inclusion Council to support its work and serve as a bridge with the Employee Resource Groups; translate insights into practical recommendations and program inputs (without compromising confidentiality).
  • Act as an ambassador for CFA Institutes inclusion agenda in APACenabling colleagues volunteers and partners to build advocacy and consistent messaging across internal and external channels.
  • Support the design and delivery of APAC inclusion initiatives (internal and external) including roundtables workshops and partner engagements; coordinate logistics materials and follow-up and support representation at APAC industry and CFA Society events ensuring a strong client service experience.
  • Create practical structures frameworks and operating norms that help embed inclusion into governance and decision-making (e.g. bias mitigation ethical culture inclusive leadership) leveraging evidence and behavioral finance-informed approaches.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree required; a masters degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business public policy behavioral science HR/organizational psychology) is a plus.
  • Minimum 57 years of professional experience in the investment industry or adjacent sectors (financial services professional associations research/insights ESG/CSR or communications) with exposure to inclusion and/or human capital topics preferred.
  • Working understanding of the inclusion/human capital management landscape and its relevance to investment organizations (e.g. governance talent and culture) including awareness of regional regulatory and market considerations.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence across stakeholderscomfortably working with investment professionals CFA Societies/volunteers and senior internal leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills (written verbal listening and presentation). Experience producing client-ready materials facilitation guides and research-informed content is preferred.
  • Ability to work successfully with people of diverse functional and cultural backgrounds. Experience working across APAC markets and in a geographically dispersed organization is preferred.
  • Strong consulting problem-solving and analytical skills with a service-oriented partnership mindset.
  • Advanced Excel and data management skills; experience building or maintaining dashboards tracking KPIs and interpreting survey or program data.
  • Project/program management skills including planning and deadline-driven execution; ability to manage budgets where applicable.
  • Experience representing an organization with a spectrum of stakeholders including senior leaders and external partners (e.g. investment firms societies professional bodies).
  • Highly organized and able to competently juggle competing priorities and changing expectations; uses sound judgment and appropriately escalates risks and issues.
  • Matrixed environment experience and the ability to manage multiple projects / workstreams simultaneously across time zones.
  • Fluency in English required; additional APAC language skills are advantageous. CFA Program candidate status or CFA designation is a plus.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • Travel will be approximately 20% of the time primarily within APAC with occasional global travel for planning and convenings.
