Are you eligible for co-op at D2L

Our co-op roles are open to applicants who are:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program and will not graduate prior to this co-op role (preference for students enrolled in an official co-op program)
  • Able to work 40 hours per week
  • Able to work in-person from a D2L office (office location dependent on role)

What would my main duties be

Key Projects/Global Event Coordinator prioritiesfortheco-opareexpected toincludebut not limited to:

1. GlobalEvent Support Coordination Task Management

  • Support andassistteam with eventand project coordinationadministrative andlogistic duties for key events in FY26 calendar (sponsored & proprietary) data management reporting and enablement.
  • Coordination and follow-up of cross-functional (internal and external) project tasks and actions
  • Event support wouldinclude thingslikemanaging theFusion and D2LExperience email inboxesevent briefs coordination of POs invoices contracts event data/lists presenter prep and travel support event system admin supportreporting and KPI trackingassistingwithplanning/set-uplogistics for events activities review maintenance andtesting event tools and platforms and related event techday-of event coordination and supportand post-event follow-up etc.

2. Event Communications and Calendar Coordination

  • Aidcross-functionalevent communicationsand global event calendar upkeep and cross-functional alignment
  • Maintain eventschedule and event communicationsschedule and event performance tracking
  • Coordinate updates/changes and related communications with cross-functional communications leads
  • Help to provide awareness and alignment of events and related activities with other internal/external stakeholders

3. Event Data Management and ROI Reporting

  • Post-event survey review and reporting
  • Reporting and tracking of key event KPIs management and upkeep of event reporting data/dashboards
  • Lead scan list scrubbing and reconciliation and coordination of uploads with appropriate teams
  • Coordination and follow-up on learnings highlights post-event content reconciliations etc.
  • Coordination and tracking support for key event invoices contracts and spend information

4. Vendor Venue Tech and Speaker Researchand Sourcing

  • Assist in in-person event venue sourcing and research for Fusion venue RFP proprietary events and VIP reception event locations
  • Researchunique swag event in a box and booth/exhibit vendorsoptionsand solutionsbased on goals provided
  • Research and connect with client-facing teams and SMEs to source speakers and presentations for events
  • Research event app/marketing tech event solutions based on goals provided
  • Oncevendors/venues/tech/speakers identified create a grid comparing the specific offerings and make recommendations on which would suggestproceedingwith
  • Coordinate sourcingand inventory monitoring of swag/giveaways/assets as neededto support our self-service event asset portal and various events.

5. CollateralReview and Copywriting

  • Eventpromotionand follow-up enablementassetcreation supportand task and vendor coordination
  • Copywriting support and coordination of content needed for website pagesemail campaignssocial and other digital event promotion enablementtoolkits and other internal and external event and/or communicationsand digital assets
  • Coordinate properproofread and reviews of communication/copywriting
  • Coordinatethecreation updating anddeploymentofinformation updatesgraphicsandsupportingdigital and printassets withappropriate internal groupsand external vendors

6. Competitive Event and Customer Experience Research

  • Visit the websites of key competitorsand top events and customer marketing touchpoints and experiencesboth in and outside of ourindustry
  • Take specific actions including visiting landing pagesregisteringand attending virtual events requesting additional information assets etc. (specifics to be provided)
  • Capture communications and advertising presented what experiences they are providingto their customers how their web pages and events are structured what tools they are using assets they provide how they continue engagement throughout customer journey awards and reviews theyve received etc.

Who are we looking for

  • Starstudent enrolled in marketing communications event management or projectmanagementprogram with the following competencies:
    • Advancedcommunication collaboration and interpersonalskills
    • Excellent communication writing and/or copywriting skills
    • Exceptional organizational skillsincluding multi-tasking and time management
    • High attentiontodetail
    • Ability tolearn quicklythinkfastunder pressure and work independently in fast-paced environment
    • ProficiencywithMSExcel and comfortablewithlearningnew systems quickly
    • Creative mindset and stamina to try new things and figure out how to continuously improve
    • Experience with planning or coordinating cross-functional events cross-functional projectsand/or communication writingwould be an asset
    • Familiarity and interest in AI tools (e.g. ChatGBT Copilot etc.)
