1. Hold a valid First Aid Certification Card and a valid CPR certification card.
2. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with colleagues students and parents.
3. Demonstrated general understanding and ability to help with the rules and regulations or all sport programs.
4. Demonstrated effective communication with students parents colleagues administrators and community members.
5. Evidence of positive role modeling for students and demonstrated ability to promote self-esteem and self-worth among students.
6. Ability to share responsibility of game management and supervision in rotation with building administrators.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Successful and verifiable experience as a successful Athletic Director.
2. Training or experience in:
Coordinating the intramural and interscholastic athletic activities
Arranging for all transportation of all athletic teams (bus requests)
Arranging for all officials of interscholastic contests
Hiring of all needed personnel for athletic contests
Business management of interscholastic activities including development of annual budget and ordering of equipment and supplies
Maintaining eligibility clearance and certification of all student athletes
Monitoring athletes academic requirements to insure requirements have been attained and notifying parents and students when requirements have not been met
Maintaining interscholastic paperwork (WIAA TCMSSA KSD calendar updates)
3. Previous satisfactory performance evaluations and positive recommendations.
4. Demonstrated short and long-term organization and management skills.
5. Demonstrated evidence of being a positive role model.
6. Clearly defined philosophy for the coaching level applied for.
7. Evidence of effective public relations.
8. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and communicate with students parents assistant coaches administrators and community members.
9. Evidence of WIAA certification and compliance with WIAA and district rules and regulations.

Job Description:
1. Arranging athletic schedules by preparing printing and distributing.
2. Responsible for processing payroll for game workers and officials.
3. Attend all athletic association meetings.
4. Meet with coaches as needed to discuss areas of mutual concern; communicate information and regulations pertaining to WIAA and Tri-Cities Middle School Athletic Association.
5. Responsible for input on evaluations of all coaches.
6. Responsible for maintenance and inventory of all athletic equipment.
7. Supplying all coaches with first aid kits.
8. Issuing bulletins on regulations and provisions concerning athletic activities.
9. Responsible for completion of accident reports.
10. Responsible for scheduling and use of facilities for all middle school league athletic activities.( i.e. practice and game schedules etc.)
11. Meet with coaches prior to every season to discuss regulations for their specific sport to insure their understanding of required information.
12. Insure that coaches provide written communication to parents to share travel and meal arrangements and other pertinent information.
13. Perform other related duties as may be assigned by building level administrator.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Possess current First Aid/CPR cards and be versed in related preventative health and training standards.
2. Meet and maintain coaching standards as determined by the Kennewick School District and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
3. Have High School Diploma or GED.

Demonstrated short and long-term organization and management skills.

Demonstrated evidence of being a positive role model.

Coaching experience in this sport.

Physical Hazards:While performing the duties of this job the employee must be able to work outdoors in a wide variety of temperatures; from -10 degrees F to 100 degrees F . The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in this work environment is moderate.

Application Procedure: In-District staffmust complete an internal online application by10:00 p.m. (PST) on or before the closing date.In-building/In-district staff will have eight school days or eight working days during the summer to apply for a vacant position through the online application system. The employee may choose but will not be required to meet with the building administrator to understand the building practices procedures and initiatives specific to the position to which they are applying. After eight days if an in-building employee is qualified for the position the principal will offer the employee the the case that more than one in-building employee is interested in a position the position will be offered to the qualified and senior employee. If a position is not filled in-building after the eight day period the position will be offered to the qualified most senior in-district applicant if any. Teachers with a summative evaluation score of 1 or 2 are not eligible to transfer unless agreed upon by the District and Association.
