As a Security Officer Full Time Screener in Detroit MI you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location where you will help monitor access points screen visitors and belongings and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and this people-focused role you will remain visible provide outstanding customer service and communication and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork integrity and a reliable approach.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: Starting Pay $18.39 / Hour increasing to $21.05 / Hour in annual increments

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen employees visitors and/or contractors entering the location by following access control procedures and checking credentials permitted items and restricted items.
• Respond to incidents access concerns and/or critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner and communicate relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor entrances screening equipment and/or visitor flow to help support orderly operations and identify unusual activity for follow-up.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned with working environments and conditions varying by site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
