Job Summary
Location: San Francisco CA (in-person 5 days a week)
Compensation: $130000 - $240000 per year plus equity
Join a profitable fast-growing data infrastructure company for the construction industry as a Full-Stack Software Engineer owning core backend systems end-to-end with no traditional manager layer.
What Youll Own
- Build and maintain a unified API layer connecting legacy industry systems some 20-40 years old to modern software
- Ship core backend systems powering several interconnected automation products with frontend work on apps that dogfood the API
- Solve real-time data sync challenges including custom implementations for systems that lack native webhooks
- Build scalable testing frameworks to catch edge cases across thousands of endpoints
- Engage directly with customers and ship features daily based on real feedback
What Youll Bring
- 1-5 years of backend or full-stack engineering experience
- A CS degree from a strong engineering program
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure AWS preferred
- A self-motivated high-ownership low-ego operating style suited to a fast-paced intense team environment
- Genuine enthusiasm for working in person 5 days a week in San Francisco
Nice to Have
- Prior startup or founding engineering experience at any early stage
- A CS background from a top 20-30 school
