Position Summary:The Community Education Educational Assistant-Fingerprinting and Enrollment Technician (EA) is to capture biometric data including electronic fingerprints according to the requirements of the Statement of Work provided by the partnership with Idemia Identity & Security USA LLC. The EA will verify the applicants identity documents to ensure they are valid and match the individual. The EA will adhere to all privacy and security laws as provided through virtual and in-person training with Community Educations partner agency. Specific tasks include verify identity and enroll employee/applicant scan documents and capture biometrics using the computer equipment provided transmit applicant information and fingerprints interface with the helpdesk to resolve technical difficulties partner with the CE Front Desk Administrative Asst to ensure operational requirements and metrics are met implement process improvements as needed. During unscheduled appointment times this staff position will support other Community Education program preparation and data collection functions. Possibility of 2 available positions depending on availability of candidates. Successful candidates must work a minimum of 8 hours per week and a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Position Requirements:A minimum of a 2-year AA degree required. Hold a valid drivers license. Professional in appearance and behavior. Excellent customer service skills including problem resolution. Above average computer skills with the ability to conduct basic troubleshooting on hardware and software. Ability to conduct core functions of the enrollment process. Appointment schedules are not communicated until 24-48 hours ahead of scheduled appointments so flexibility and dependability are essential skills.
Language Skills:Read write comprehend and interpret verbal and written information includinginstructions correspondences and memos. Present information in one-to-one environment.
Physical Demands:Mobility and ability to stand in one-hour increments. Hearing speech andsight are required. Specific vision requirements include close vision distance vision peripheral vision and theability to adjust focus.
Other Skills & Abilities:Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding fingerprint applicants. Perform duties within a tight daily schedule.
Rate of Pay:
B-2-1 /$18.10 - $21.78/hour depending on experience
