Machine Operator – PunchShear CNC

Roles and Responsibilities

• Insert key control instructions into the operating system of the machine to operate

• Prepare adjust and operate CNC punch and laser machine in accordance with procedures standards and requisitions

• Adjust machine feed and speed change cutting tools or adjust controls when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunction

• Make machine adjustments to ensure product quality

• Review program specifications or plans to determine and define machine operations and sequencing finished part dimensions or CNC sequences

• Check accuracy of part dimensions using various gauge types

• Program codes and parts

• Check cooling systems

• Examine electronic components for defects or verify the integrity of the laser beam cutting using a microscopes

• Ensure compliance with quality standards

• Perform tasks while respecting safety rules

• Identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety

• May be called upon to work on other equipment depending on production needs

• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or DVS.

Experience: Relevant experience with a CNC punch and/or punch and laser. Experience in HVAC is an asset.

Computer Skills: None required.

Certificates & Licenses: None required.
