Job Summary
Schedules surgical procedures as well as creates pre-registered patient accounts. Completes the medical necessity screening for applicable outpatient procedures. Builds and maintains surgical schedules and templates. Takes into consideration the amount of time availability of personnel instruments and additional services necessary to complete the requested surgical procedures scheduled.
Education and Training
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum one year of prior surgery scheduling experience required.
- One year of prior registration experience preferred.
- Prior experience in a physician practice preferred.
- Customer Service or work experience within a healthcare environment preferred.
