Job Mission

As a Product Designer youll help shape how millions of homes experience smart energy through the Tibber app. Youll be a problem solver first someone who digs into user and business problems asks the questions others havent thought to ask and turns messy ambiguous starting points into clear directions the team can build behind.

Youll work alongside Product Managers Engineers our User Researcher and UX Writers as part of the Product Design team taking ownership of meaningful problems within your domain.

What youll do

• Understand the problem before designing the solution: Youll work with PMs and engineers to understand whats really going on. Youll define problems sharply so the team can move forward with confidence.
  

• Explore widely before committing: Youll explore multiple directions through sketches and prototypes because the first idea is rarely the best one. Youll plan and run your own usability tests to find the holes in your thinking.
  

• See it through to launch: Design isnt done until its in users hands. Youll stay close to engineering through implementation sweat the details that matter and QA the final result so what ships matches the intent.
  

• Contribute to how we design: Youll bring honest opinions to critiques share work early and often and help shape our design system and the way the team works.

What were looking for

• A problem solver: You start with the problem not the solution. Youre comfortable sitting in ambiguity and you reframe problems in ways that change what the team builds not just how it looks.
  

• Design judgment: Its not just taste its the instinct that tells you when something is off even when you cant immediately say why. You trust that signal and youve learned to interrogate it until you can articulate it.
  

• A systems thinker: You see flows patterns and ripple effects. You know that a design decision in one place rarely stays there.
  

• A real user advocate: You design for the person on the other side of the screen. You bring real user understanding into the room and let evidence not assumptions shape the work.
  

• Collaborative spirit: You enjoy working closely with engineers PMs researchers and writers. You bring clear thinking into every conversation explain your decisions well and are open to having your ideas challenged.
  

• Experience level: Youve shipped features in a live product and navigated trade-offs with PMs and engineers along the way. Experience with mobile (iOS/Android) is a strong plus.
