We are seeking a visionary and technically skilled Art Teacher to join an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary school. The Department & Creative Culture
You will join an elite Creative Arts faculty where Art is celebrated as a vital academic and expressive discipline achieving consistently high results at GCSE and A-Level.
The school features specialized light-filled studios equipped for fine art printmaking ceramics and digital photography.

Core Responsibilities
Exemplary Instruction: Teaching Art and Design across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with the opportunity to lead A-Level Fine Art or Photography for suitably qualified candidates.
Technical Mastery: Guiding students through a wide breadth of disciplines including observational drawing painting 3D sculpture and digital manipulation.
Conceptual Development: Encouraging students to move beyond technical skill to develop deep conceptual themes helping them research and respond to the work of historical and contemporary artists.
Portfolio Management: Supporting students in the curation of high-quality portfolios that demonstrate a clear journey from initial sketches to finished outcomes.
Cultural Enrichment: Organizing gallery visits artist-in-residence workshops and annual exhibitions that showcase the schools creative talent to the wider community.
The Successful Candidate We are looking for a practitioner who is both a skilled artist and a passionate educator. Requirements include:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Fine Art Design or a related creative discipline.
Artistic Range: A strong personal portfolio and the ability to demonstrate high-level skills across multiple media.
Inspirational Impact: The ability to motivate students of all abilities fostering a studio environment where creativity risk-taking and resilience are prioritized.
Academic Rigor: A deep understanding of the GCSE and A-Level assessment grids with a proven ability to help students achieve the highest possible marks.
