The Inspector Technician is responsible for carrying out all physical verification activities in the business including raw material intake in-process checks and final inspection to defined standards to ensure full compliance with AS9100 ISO 9001 customer requirements and applicable regulatory standards within the aerospace and defence sectors.
Working in the production environment the Inspection Technician will check product meets defined specifications and quality standards contributing to maintaining consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.

Main Task of the Job
Goods-In Inspection
Verify supplier material certs traceability and conformance.
Check composite material shelf-life and freezer requirements.
Inspect post-cure laminates for defects (delams porosity inclusions)
Final Inspection & Release
Perform dimensional checks (manual or CMM-assited)
Validate full traceability package before release
Packaging to the required shipping standards
FAIR Support
Collect inspection evidence and dimensional results
Verify key characteristics and tooling configurations
Required Experience & Qualifications
Essential
Engineering/Manufacturing NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Understanding of traceability and material certification
2-5 years in manufacturing inspection
Experience with:
Goods-in verification
In-process inspections
Final inspection & release documentation
Desirable
AS9100 / ISO 9001 awareness training
AS9102 / FAIR awareness
CMM operating experience
Apprenticeship background in manufacturing/aerospace
Experience working in a multi-site or growing organisation
Personal Attributes
