POSITION: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Home Healthcare
SCHEDULE & COVERAGE
- Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Field based role with daily travel to patient homes
Coverage Area
- Searcy
- Conway
- Little Rock
- When on call RT will support all three territories
On Call Rotation
- Required participation in on call rotation
- Rotation typically every 4 weeks may increase to every 3 weeks depending on team coverage
- Includes evenings weekends and occasional holidays
- Responsible for urgent patient needs and equipment issues after hours
- Initial response handled remotely when possible with in person visits as needed
LOCATION REQUIREMENT
- Must reside within 25 miles of Searcy Arkansas
ROLE REQUIREMENT
- RRT ONLY due to VA contract requirements
OVERVIEW
- Conduct in home patient assessments
- Provide education on respiratory equipment and therapy
- Set up and adjust ventilators and oxygen therapy per physician orders
- Troubleshoot equipment issues in real time
- Provide ongoing follow up and phone support
- Participate in on call coverage
- Support training of new clinical staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Respiratory Therapist license RRT or CRT required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Must live within 25 miles of Searcy location
Preferred
- 1 plus year clinical or home healthcare experience
- Experience with ventilators and respiratory equipment
- Degree in respiratory therapy or related field
SKILLS
- Strong patient communication and education
- Ability to work independently in the field
- Problem solving and equipment troubleshooting
- Time management and organization
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 65 lbs
- Daily driving and in home patient visits
- Standing walking and sitting for extended periods
- Exposure to patient environments and potential health risks
- Must comply with N95 fit testing requirements
