CT Technologist
Position Summary UCSF Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and flexible CT Technologist to join our imaging team. This role is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography (CT) procedures in an acute care setting while supporting patient care safety and operational excellence.
This position requires flexibility to work rotating shifts including nights weekends holidays and on-call coverage as well as the ability to support multiple UCSF Medical Center locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities - Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols
- Ensure patient safety comfort and accurate positioning during imaging procedures
- Administer contrast media and perform venipuncture as required
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
- Serve as a resource for staff and assist with training and education
- Demonstrate ability to teach basic and advanced imaging procedures
- Mentor new employees and students supporting onboarding and development
Schedule & Flexibility - Ability to work rotating shifts including days nights weekends and holidays
- Participation in on-call rotation required
- Willingness to work across multiple UCSF Medical Center locations
Required Qualifications - Minimum 3 years of experience in CT or related modality within an acute care (hospital) setting
- Graduate of a JCERT-accredited radiologic technology program
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Licensure
- ARRT (CT) Certification
- Venipuncture Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Additional Expectations - Demonstrated teaching ability in both basic and advanced procedures
- Active participation in mentoring new staff and students (excluding per diem staff)
- Strong communication teamwork and organizational skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous professional development
