Job Title: Safety Training Coordinator / Safety Trainer
Location: Qatar
Job Summary
The Safety Training Coordinator/Trainer is responsible for planning delivering and monitoring safety training programs for contract personnel in a petrochemical plant environment. The role ensures full compliance with company safety standards regulatory requirements and industry best practices while promoting a strong safety culture across all workforce levels.
Key Responsibilities
Plan schedule and conduct safety training programs for contract employees.
Deliver safety courses including:
Ensure all contract personnel meet mandatory safety training and certification requirements.
Maintain accurate training records certifications and documentation.
Conduct safety induction programs for new employees as per company policies.
Monitor compliance with plant safety procedures and standards.
Perform Task Risk Assessments (TRA) prior to maintenance activities.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across the workforce.
Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety meetings.
Track report and follow up on near-misses incidents and accidents using company reporting systems.
Support and implement plant loss prevention programs.
Provide safety guidance coaching and consulting support to employees and contractors.
Continuously monitor workplace safety practices and recommend improvements.
Participate actively in company safety initiatives and training programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency in English (speaking reading and writing).
Ability to communicate complex safety procedures clearly and effectively.
High School Diploma plus completion of a 3-year technical training program.
At least one recognized safety certification (e.g. NEBOSH OSHA or equivalent).
Work Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer or Safety Coordinator.
Experience in petrochemical or industrial plant environments is mandatory.
Strong knowledge of plant safety standards procedures and hazard identification.
