As an Analyst in Equity Capital Markets (ECM) you will participate in thefull transaction execution cycle with thescope of workincluding but not limited to preparing pitch materials conducting research drafting various client presentations foractive transactions and preparing internal memoranda forsenior bankers and committees.
You will be expected to have strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and demonstrate your ability to work with other partners within the line of business such as country coverage and industry teams. The candidate should also be highly enthusiastic abouttheirwork as well as J.P. Morgans products and be committed to J.P. Morgans values andmission.
You will join the global investment banking analyst program along with over 100 analysts across regions and teams which will offer you opportunities to buildanetwork and learn to be a professional ataworlds top-tier global investment bank.
Job responsibilities
Support the origination and execution of the ECM business across various types of equity offerings including but not limited to IPOs private placements and block trades.
Work with various teams within the organization on all matters pertaining to the origination and execution of ECM transactions including investment banking coverage teams and equity syndicate sales and trading to stay abreast of the latest market developments and investor sentiment.
Prepare pitch and marketing materials and client presentations for active transactions.
Run ad hoc daily and weekly analysis and research on economies global equity markets industries companies and products to support ECM execution and origination including forming views on key themes and opportunities.
Provide additional support to the Investment Banking and ECM businesses as needed.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance/Economics or a related field from atop-tiereducational institution.
Minimum1 yearsof work experience in an investment banking front office role.
Strong understanding of equity markets and equity products as well as transaction cycles.
Good knowledge of accounting and finance.
Ability to work effectively under high pressure and multitask.
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint Microsoft Excel and Word.
Outstanding attention to detail team player effective communication skills and strong initiative to work independently.
