Job Description

The VP of Brand Strategy & Governance is an executive leadership position reporting within the Marketing Leadership team. This role will oversee a small high-performing team of brand professionals leading the development and execution of global brand strategy governance and protection initiatives.

This position involves close collaboration with the broader Marketing Leadership Team and other organizational groups. The role is responsible for developing strategies to elevate enhance manage and protect key brands at the Enterprise level in partnership with our segments and regions.

Given the high visibility of this work exposure to senior leadership and close collaboration with marketing leadership and cross-functional leaders this position offers a great platform for an exceptional brand professional.

This role is based in Zug Switzerland and is a hybrid role (3 days in the office 2 days working from home).

About the Role

In this role as VP of Brand Strategy & Governance you will:

  • Develop and execute global brand strategy to advance brand value and positively impact sales and retention efforts.

  • Lead adoption of AI-powered brand analytics and marketing automation platforms to optimize brand performance.

  • Support purpose-driven brand narratives aligned with corporate goals and initiatives.

  • Establish and enforce brand governance frameworks including guidelines and standards for brand trademark and trade dress usage across the organization partners and third parties.

  • Provide oversight of the implementation of enterprise-level brand campaigns.

  • Monitor compliance and implement proactive brand protection strategies including online monitoring programs and defensive trademark/domain registrations in collaboration with Legal Services.

  • Partner with CX teams to ensure brand consistency across all customer touchpoints and optimize customer experience.

  • Develop measurement strategies for brand attributes such as awareness familiarity consideration and preference relative to competitors worldwide.

  • Lead brand reputation management strategies and reporting across all segments and all regions.

About You

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Senior-level marketing experience with a strategic business-focused mindset and strong communication abilities.

  • Proven track record in global brand management governance and protection.

  • Experience in product brand management within similar industry environments preferably professional services or SaaS brands.

  • Experience in brand reputation management on a global scale.

  • Ability to understand commercial technical and strategic drivers to execute business strategies.

  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong ability to coordinate and manage distributed collaborative efforts across cross-functional teams.

  • Extensive experience working in global and virtual environments with proficiency in digital communication platforms.

  • Excellent project management presentation and team leadership skills with ability to excel in fast-paced dynamic environments.

  • Bachelors degree required; marketing or business-related degrees preferred.

  • Advanced degree preferred (MBA or technical).

  • 10 years of related marketing experience including 10 years of management experience in brand management.

  • Experience leading brand teams in technology sectors and scaling marketing teams in rapid-growth environments.
