We have an immediate opening for aGeotechnical Technicianto join our Materials Testing group in our Cambridge ON office.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Carrying out aggregate soil tests in the field and within our Aggregate Laboratories
• Soil Identification and Examination of Subgrade Soils
• Insitu Density and Compaction Testing
• Concrete Mortar and Grout Sampling and Testing
• Asphalt Sampling and Testing
• Ensuring field and laboratory equipment is maintained in good condition
• Assisting management team in field and laboratory certification and record keeping
• Interacting with Materials and Geotechnical Engineers routinely
• Operating computerized and digital testing equipment
• Field and Laboratory result report writing

What your experience looks like

• Minimum 2 years experiencein field and Aggregate testing Laboratory
• College diploma an asset
• Field experience in concrete earthworks and asphalt
• CCIL/CSA certified for field concrete testing (required) laboratory certification an asset
• Strong communication skills and leadership capabilities
• Ability to work overtime in peak periods
• Excellent organizational skills and time management a must
• Proficiency with the windows operating system Microsoft Excel
• Able to organize prioritize set and adjust priorities and schedules independently

The salary range for this role is between $43.7k-$ actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set depth of experience certifications and specific work location.
