The Senior Admissions Systems Specialist is a newly created permanent roleestablishedto support the transition to a new admissions systemand strengthen Admissions long-term ownership of systems and data capability.
As the business owner for Admissions systems you will ensure the effective operation configuration and continuous improvement of admissions and onboarding systems supporting complianttimely and high-quality admissions decision-making and applicant experience.
Working at the intersection of systems data and operations you will define and manage the admissions-side operating modelcovering business rules service standards process design and data qualitywhile driving ongoing system optimisation and performance.
This role acts as the Admissions Product Ownerrepresentingbusiness priorities and outcomes within Student Systems & Projects governance and delivery. It is a key role during a period of transformation requiring strong systemsexpertise data capability and a solid understanding of admissions processes.
The position reports to the Admissions Support Manager and has no direct reports.
Key Responsibilitiessummary
Lead the definition and prioritisation of Admissions business requirements translating needs into system configurations enhancements and roadmap planning
Represent Admissions in system governance vendor engagements and institutional forums ensuring business priorities risks and compliance obligations are addressed
Act as the primary liaison between business and technical teams advising on solution design driving optimisation and ensuring delivery aligns with admissions needs
Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide business sign-off for system changes ensuring readiness for operational and peak periods
Establish andmaintaingovernance artefacts documentation and records to support consistent practice audit compliance and data integrity
Develop and deliver performance reporting and insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement
About You
Werelooking for a systems-focused professional with strong analytical capability and a solid understanding of admissions processes in higher will bring:
Demonstrated experience working with admissions or student systems ( PeopleSoft or similar platforms)
Strong understanding of admissions processes and application lifecycle management
Experience in system configuration testing (including UAT) and documentation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into system and process improvements
Experience using data and reporting tools (particularly Power BI and Excel) to generate insights and support decision-making
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders influencing outcomes in a complex environment
Experience working within governance risk and compliance frameworks (e.g. privacy audit data integrity)
High attention to detail particularly in relation to system configuration and data quality
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced evolving environment
This is a hybrid role working Monday to Friday. The position isfull time may occasionallybe requiredtoparticipatein testing or system development activities outside of standard business hours.
