Overview

The position of Intern Facility Coordinator will be a junior contributing role to assist Facility Managers or with the operation of the nuclear and non-nuclear facilities. The successful candidate will join a mature team and will be assigned largely physical labour and administrative tasks supporting the facility operation and maintenance.

The employee will be required to obtain security clearance for CANDU Energy Inc. facilities and possibly for our customer sites. This activity typically requires extended time for someone who is not a citizen of Canada so Canadian citizenship is an advantage.

The employee may be assigned to short-term field service assignments on CANDU Field Services projects typically during customers outages and at their these assignments the employee may be requested to perform work in a radiological work environment such as set-up and operation activities of certain this event the employee will be required to Nuclear Energy Worker qualified and trained to CANDU Energys RP program as Group 3 worker and with our customers onboarding process as well as receiving practical training related to the fitness and hands-on experience with tools and equipment will be an advantage.

The employee will be expected to perform tasks and activities commensurate with their level of experience and familiarity with the technology while supervised by more senior staff.

Your role

• Work will include assisting with manual tasks such as warehouse management and material logistics.
• Organizing hosting minuting regular project and/or customer meetings for senior staff.
• Collecting data and status for the purpose of regular schedule updates.
• Maintaining a running log of project lessons learned.
• Performing any other administrative or analytical review or investigation as directed.
• Employee may be requested to obtain training in the operation of tow-motors or cranes.

About you

• Duration: 4 8 12 or 16 months depending on candidates availability.
• Currently enrolled in a college HVAC Technology.
• Holder of a valid Ontario Drivers License.
• Physically fit and willing to perform manual labour.
