Summer Day Camp Counselors

Classification: Temporary Full-Time Non-Exempt 35-37.5 hours/week 8:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Monday-Friday beginning on May 26 2026 and ending August 7 2026.

Salary: $17.50 per hour

Job Focus: This position ensures the safety of all children as they engage in all camp activities on-site and on field trips. Counselors assist in planning activities and lead interactive learning stations to enhance students skills. They are role models for all students through their action language personal hygiene and positive attitudes.

• Interest in or pursuing a degree in Education Psychology Sociology or Child Development preferred or we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Current certification in CPR/first aid communicable diseases and child abuse prevention and recognition preferred or we will work with you to obtain.
• The Ability to maintain ODJFS standards for employees and program operation we will train.
• Valid Ohio Drivers license and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards (if driving is a requirement)
