Job Summary
The Expo (Expeditor) is responsible for managing the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining room ensuring every dish is accurate complete and presented to standard. This role acts as the key communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and prioritize tickets to maintain smooth timely service
- Ensure all dishes are plated correctly and meet quality standards
- Communicate clearly with chefs and servers to coordinate orders
- Call and direct orders for pickup and delivery to tables
- Verify accuracy of each order before it leaves the kitchen
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pass
- Run food to tables when necessary
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Previous experience as an expo
- Previous experience with a KDS screen is great but not a requirement
