Role Overview:Sales Operations Specialist
Richmond VA In office Monday Friday
At CoStar Group our finance group centralizes transaction processes providingaccuratereporting financial resolutions and proper forecasting analysis. Joining the team offers access to financial specializations including accounts payable accounts receivable cash and asset management client contracts and billing and revenue recognition.
The primary responsibility of theSales Operations Specialistis to partner with the sales organization to provide licensing and pricingexpertiseand to support sales territories and book of business creation. This team serves as trusted advisors to help the sales team move contract proposals through the quote to cash process quickly and seamlessly.
The Sales Operations Specialist willbe responsible forensuring thataccuratepricing is provided to existing and prospective clients. They will also ensure alignment with company policy and triage approvals for any non-standard requests.This individual will work cross-functionally within the business to deliver successful solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities
Develop in-depth knowledge of CoStars licensing and pricing models to provide contract proposal support to our field sales teams.
Review and approve proposalssubmittedthrough our customer relationship management (CRM) system by thesalesteams considering and resolving any compliance software revenuerecognitionor legal issues prior to deal closure.
Assistsenior sales leadership with the analysis andsubsequentcreation and management of sales territories and Books of Business.
Maintain sales records and provideadditionalsupport during the process of a sale.
Work closely with sales finance and marketing to continuously review pricing structureratesand discounts on existing and new product offerings to ensure competitive market placement.
Create recommendations on standard deal structure models.
Provide reports and analysisin order toadvisemanagement.
Act as a subject matter expert on salesprocessand procedures.
Serve as subject matter and policy expert for all matters related to software pricing commercial terms as well as legal compliance.
Conduct market research toidentifypotential competitors for the sales team.
Identifyinternal process improvement initiatives related to proposal and pricing workflows.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degreefrom an accredited not-for-profit in-person college/university
A track recordof commitment to prior employers
4 years experience in sales sales-oriented finance sales operations or pricing analytics for sales with proven success navigating complexproposalsquotes and contracts
Experience working cross-functionally with Sales Legal Contracts and Finance
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
Basic Microsoft Excel skills
Flexibility to work standard shift hours of 10AM - 7PM EST
