About the opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to support our Residential Aged Care Home in this role you will ensure our buildings grounds and facilities remain safe functional and wellmaintained for residents staff and visitors.
As a Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for the ongoing repairs preventative maintenance and general upkeep of the facility. You will also assist with identifying and addressing safety concerns to support a secure and comfortable environment for everyone on site. Your work will play a key role in ensuring our RAC facility remain safe presentable and operational.
Carry out grounds maintenance ongoing repairs and preventative servicing of buildings plant equipment and furniture.
Liaise with and oversee contractors including site access and inductions.
Identify report and implement opportunities for improvement across the facility.
Assist in identifying and rectifying WHS/OH&S issues to maintain a safe environment.
Maintain accurate records using computer-based maintenance systems.
Contribute positively to a collaborative residentfocused team environment.

Previous maintenance experience (trade background or qualification preferred but not essential).
Experience in Aged Care or hotel/hospital settings (highly regarded).
Proficient computer skills: experience with maintenance management systems is an advantage.
Good knowledge of WHS/OH&S standards and regulatory maintenance requirements for aged care and independent living.
Experience managing contractors and understanding of essential systems such as HVAC essential services and Building 9C regulations.
You will also be required to provide evidence of or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check.
Trade based qualification or more than 3 years experience in a commercial maintenance position.
Current drivers licence.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.
