TheRegistered Nursewithin the scope of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each persons physical emotional social and spiritual needs. TheRegistered Nursecollaborates in the spirit of teamwork and is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards policies procedures and guidelines of Mount Carmel Health System.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with patient and family to develop and implement a plan of care that includes physical spiritual and educational components
- Create a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care
- Work with state-of-the-art technology
- Experience interdisciplinary relationships & collaboration
- Have autonomy for decisions affecting professional practice
- Promote evidence-based practice and quality initiatives and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice
- Cover on-call shifts per unit guidelines
- Maintain CPR and ACLS certifications
Requirements/Qualifications
- Graduate from school of nursing
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
- At least two years of RN experience. Prior perioperative ICU or ER experience preferred.
- Effective Communication Skills
- Demonstrates the ability to plan organize and manage patient care including delegation to and supervision of other members of the patient care team
