Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION NOCCCD is now accepting applications for Music/Choral Studies Instructor Pool-Part-Time at Fullerton College! Choral classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. in the Fall.

Essential Functions
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Examples of essential functions are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature.

Desirable Qualifications
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Prior teaching experience within the area of choral ensembles especially introductory collegiate or introductory adult ensembles. Proficient knowledge of vocal pedagogy and healthy safe singing technique. A pedagogical approach built on rehearsal techniques that emphasize music literacy musicianship and music theory knowledge. Experience with selecting repertoire that is both developmentally and ensemble-level appropriate. Demonstrated experience with teaching practices supporting success recruitment and retention of students of color students with disabilities and other historically underrepresented students.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Masters in music OR Bachelors in music AND Masters in humanities OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area; OR the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education training employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.
