Scope
The Assistant Principal works efficiently with the Principal to coordinate and direct all aspects of the program on the individual campus. They will work to facilitate a school culture in accordance to the Family and Faculty handbook. Other responsibilities shall be carried out under the direction and guidance of the Principal.
Qualifications
The candidate shall possess characteristics that reflect:
- A strong clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit
- A daily example of the highest Christian virtue both in and out of school
- Commitment to faithful attendance and support of a church whose beliefs are in agreement with the Statement of Faith
- Agreement and belief that the Bible is the final authority concerning truth morality and the proper conduct of mankind
The ideal candidate shall possess the following:
- A Masters Degree in School Administration and Leadership preferred
- Eligibility for ACSI certification
Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Facilitate any necessary disciplinary actions for student
- Work closely with the Office of Admissions to help coordinate school admissions
- Assist the Principal in the interviewing of prospective families
- Attend regular teacher Department Head and support personnel meetings
- Assist in teacher and staff evaluations
- Conduct tours when needed
- Act as the liaison between faculty and all administrative offices
- Assist in the implementation of the academic programs
- Attend necessary workshops and conferences to remain current on educational and spiritual issues
- Serve as liaison between the schools with regards to preparing students for transition
- Assist with the updating of Family and Faculty handbooks
- Work closely with Principal and Education Resource Department to implement programs in the classrooms
Outcomes
- Ongoing leadership assistance and guidance to Principal
- Enrollment of qualified students
- Christ-like relationships with colleagues peers and parents
- Clear verbal and written communication with colleagues parents and administration
- Clear planning and preparation for events
- Needs of student are addressed with collaboration of Teacher parent and support
- Delivery of directions and procedures are clear and understood by Teachers/staff
