Job Summary

Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital

We have two exciting opportunities available for a passionate Clinical Educators to join St John of God Bunbury Hospital where you will play a key role in shaping the future of our clinical this influential role you will partner with department managers caregivers and the Learning and Development Coordinator to deliver engaging highquality education programs including Graduate Programs that inspire excellence in care.

You will lead the design implementation and evaluation of contemporary learning initiatives aligned with bestpractice standards driving professional growth and continuous improvement across the hospital. We currently have 3 opportunities available details below - please indicate in your cover letter which role you are applying to

  • 0.2 FTE Permanent Clinical Educator role specialising in Renal

  • 0.6 FTE Fixed term Clinical Educator role specialising in Perioperative contract until January 2027

  • 0.5 FTE Permanent General Clinical Educator (Medical).

The Position

  • Support and provide guidance to caregivers (including graduates) to meet individual learning and development goals and achieve departmental objectives

  • In collaboration with the caregivers manager support them to address learning gaps and meet performance development goals and plans.

  • Collaborates with Department Managers other learning and development caregivers and relevant key stakeholders to support learning and development activities locally.

  • Supports an interprofessional approach to the delivery assessment and evaluation of learning for all caregivers promoting a positive and inclusive workplace learning environment.

  • Supports the use of standardised best practice tools frameworks and guidelines to deliver assess and evaluate learning activities.

  • In collaboration with the Learning and Development Coordinator identifies individual local and organisational learning needs through a learning needs analysis process.

  • Uses adult learning principles when facilitating learning activities.

  • Provides mentoring coaching and support to caregivers through experiential learning and assists other members of the team to undertake the same.

  • As directed by the Learning and Development Coordinator uses the Learning Management System to create learning events and record completions to meet individual professional development local hospital/service and organisational compliance and risk requirements.

  • In collaboration with the Learning and Development Coordinator and other key stakeholders support the planning onboarding delivery and evaluation of the Pathways to Practice Graduate Programs and Pathway to Speciality Programs.

  • Acts as a mentor/support/role model to all caregivers promoting best practice principles

  • Supports a life-long learning approach to support caregivers to be self directed and use reflective practice

  • Promotes in-time learning in the workplace offering opportunities for practical application of knowledge and skills.

  • Participate as an active member of relevant networking groups communities of practice and committees as directed by the L&D Coordinator or line manager.

  • Identifies and actively seeks opportunities for professional development in education/training.

You will be currently registered as a Health Practitioner with AHPRA and demonstrate a strong commitment to ongoing personal and professional development supported by a current CPD record or Professional Practice Portfolio. You will have a genuine passion for educating others with proven experience delivering smallgroup education sessions and presentations and a sound understanding of adult learning principles. Your ability to motivate support and encourage caregivers to develop their skills and careers will be key to your success.

You will bring strong interpersonal communication and mentoring or coaching skills allowing you to engage effectively with a diverse workforce. You will be well organised with excellent time management abilities and confident in conflict resolution negotiation and problemsolving. Experience or knowledge of quality improvement accreditation and licensing processes along with proficiency in Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications will enable you to support safe highquality care and continuous improvement.

  • Salary: $109599 to $115682 pro rata plus 12% superannuation
