About the role

As a Specialist Internal Audit you will have the opportunity to build on your accounting and audit experience through broad exposure to a fastpaced international business. This role focuses on evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of Carriers internal control framework to manage and mitigate risk. Internal Audit at Carrier is a developmental organization and is considered a premier entry point into the Finance organization offering strong visibility training strategic networking and future rotation opportunities into business unit roles.

Key Responsibilities

As a Specialist Internal Audit youll be responsible for:

• Participating in the execution of riskbased internal audits across Carrier business units

• Assessing risks of key business processes and supporting the development of audit plans and detailed audit programs

• Creating process maps of significant financial business and operational processes to identify internal control gaps and opportunities for improvement

• Preparing clear concise and impactful audit reports

• Presenting audit findings conclusions and recommendations to management

• Participating in special projects related to internal audit quality and continuous improvement initiatives

• Performing SarbanesOxley (SOX) reviews and coordinating with external auditors

Requirements

We are looking for people who are proactive analytical and resultsdriven with a strong interest in understanding business operations and managing risk. If this is you get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

• Bachelors Degree in Finance Accounting or a related business discipline

• 3 Experience in public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) and/or internal audit preferably with exposure to a manufacturing environment

• Strong knowledge of internal controls and U.S. GAAP accounting standards

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams and deliver results on time

• Strong analytical problemsolving organizational and project management skills

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English including proven presentation skills

• Demonstrated leadership and the ability to work across diverse functions and levels

• Valid visa

• Willingness to travel within the Americas region (approximately 25% of work time)

Although not necessary it would be nice if you have:

• Professional certifications such as CPA CIA CFE or similar

• Masters Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field

• Prior experience performing SOX testing and working with external auditors
