The University continues to uphold its mission of enhancing the quality of life and preserving protecting and interpreting First Nations peoples history language culture and artistic is a unique learning place specializing in Indigenous knowledge and providing post-secondary education for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students within a culturally supportive First Nations University of Canada is a federated college of the University of Regina and its academic programs are accredited through that values include wisdom respect humility sharing harmony beauty strength and Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurship Camp was established in 2009 and its purpose is to provide students an opportunity to learn skills in marketing advertising cash flow projections and business plan preparation. Furthermore students will visit local businesses hear from Indigenous entrepreneurs participate in entrepreneurship case studies and produce their own promotional materials. The Indigenous Business and Public Administration program at the Regina Campus invites First Nations University of Canada students to apply for the part-time term Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurship Camp - Assistant Coordinator : Develop sponsorship proposals and solicit sponsorship support for the campReview and revise the IYEC manualPromote the camp to schools youth groups and community associationsIdentify/contact resource people e.g. suppliers vendorsAssist with planning and scheduling camp with supervision of students during the week of the with administration and reporting Develop a database of IYEC alumniQualifications:Preferably post-secondary students are encouraged to working with youth is an asset. Applicants will have strongorganizational and communication skills. Experience facilitating camps for Indigenous youth is beneficial. The student must be reliable responsible and punctual.
